FAQ
Will Premium make conversion faster?
No. Conversion runs on your device because we never see your files. Premium unlocks what you can convert — more files, larger sizes, more formats — not how fast. A modern laptop will fly on either plan; a 2018 phone will be paced by its CPU on either plan.
What does "up to 1 GB per file" mean if it's all browser-side?
It's the policy ceiling — the largest single file we'll accept. Whether your browser can hold that in memory depends on your device. For typical HEIC photos (10–30 MB each) this limit is irrelevant. We set it high so Premium never collides with anything but physics.
Why charge at all if you don't run the compute?
You're paying for tooling, not cycles: a UI that doesn't get in your way, more formats including PDF, batch downloads, conversion history, no ads, and our continued work on the product. Privacy-first doesn't mean "free forever" — it means "your files stay yours."
